Sequins during the day

( Sequin skirt: Zara, Wool Jumper: & Other Stories, Shoes: Miu Miu, Purse: Mulberry Bayswater)

"Cause he's gonna think you are a hooker because you are wearing sequins during the day" Willam Belli

This is just for you Willam, just for you. I am obsessed with Ru Paul's Drag Race so much so that I don't quite understand how I lived before I was shown it (thanks Blair). Now, I started with Willam's beatdown, which I had a natural attraction to because I generally find Youtube video's impossibly embarrassing to watch. So watching a beautiful drag queen be crude and mean about others who think it's okay to post a video of them using the toilet, or being naked and cooking a doughnut burger is right up my street. This led to Ru Paul, 5 seasons later I am holding out for season 6 to be aired in the UK.

Parental advisory- if you are not crude and/or dislike innuendos, steer clear. However, if you want to see beautiful men become beautiful women and support Carmen Carrera become a VS model, prepare yourself for a very new and beautiful world.

Also, for anyone who has watched season 5- who all likes my Sequence skirt? Where ma people at?

Love and stuff,

Emma x

Something haunts my dreams

(Leather Cut-out top: Vintage, Gingham Skirt: DIY, Barbie Shoes: Topshop, Stone necklace: Forever21, Purse: Mulberry)

Gingham, gingham haunts my dreams. I love gingham, so yay, it's having a come back. I actually have a lighter blue gingham skirt I bought from Topshop, but due to their bad quality, length and sizing I felt a need to replace my bobbled, skelt-lengthed, gappy-waist skirt. How to remain placid and not agitated by the Highstreet's idea of a suitable length (money saving initiative- less fabric= less cost) I went to Hobby craft and left with some fabric. An Afternoon later I had a skirt that fits my out of proportion waist AND covers my butt. Everyone is a winner. I used this tutorial if anyone wants to get crafty!

Lots of love,

Keep yourself warm

(Scarf, jumper and leather bag: Zara, Leather skirt: Topshop, Mary Janes: Miu Miu) #teenvogue

This scarf is oh so much more than a scarf, it's a lifestyle. I could live in this thing comfortably for the rest of my life. The fact it doubles as a blanket is great, in case you didn't notice, I don't really do tights and as much as I don't like to admit it, I do actually get cold.

Also, what is a Duck Ladder that I require due to my vast weight, sign? This is all I can imagine. This is like the meeting about pipe lines I went to at work. When scrubber pig came up I couldn't help but imagine a pig with a wire brush, cleaning out some pipes in a washer lady hat. I still dissolve into giggles even now knowing it is a cyilnderical bit of foam used to clean pipes. The engineers also wouldn't let me draw a pig face on one either- spoil sports. I also have an active imagination.

With love from,

All the time it took to get yourself straight

(Floral pleated skirt: Zara, Silk blouse: H&M, Suede wedges: ASOS, pill necklace: ASOS, Handbag: Prada, Hat: New Look) #teenvogue

Sorry for the week off. It was my birthday and I ran off to Paris to be with my boyfriend who is currently studying there. I'm not that sorry though, I went to Disneyland. Anyway, back to reality:

I miss being young and having my mother dress me, it was much easier, plus I just got to wear dungarees. Being an "adult" my mother normally treats me to practical, grown-up things, like a new garlic press (which is exciting, anything to avoid the stench of garlic on your hands is a god send), so it is rare she comes home with a fabric related gift. I am also horrifically hard to buy for, I have zero rational and themes to the things I like so I generally buy my own presents. But when someone gets something so right it deserves an extra big kudos. Well done mum on finding this very pretty and unique skirt, I heart it!

Final sub-point that has nothing to do with clothes, it's that time of year again:
